About Friendfeed
Friendfeed is a social medium, a network within itself, a means of communication where you can post messages for your friends. However, Friendfeed is especially a tool that helps you bring everything you collect and share on the web together in a single place – typical web 3.0, in other words.
These are all sources from which Friendfeed can draw:
In practice
I use Friendfeed to directly share links, as well as Delicious bookmarks, Goodreads books and articles from my RSS-feeds through Google Reader.
Facebook is also included in the list of sources; however, it does not really support external sharing. This is why Facebook is given a separate page.
Twitter is a different type of medium altogether: a personal message, a shared opinion, a link to a great or practical article, but in a different context. This is why my tweets are not linked to my Friendfeed, but can be followed on a separate page.
