TOT specialises in technical production for foreign companies touring the Netherlands. As soon as a tour is booked, or even earlier, a producer contacts us to help companies prepare for their stay in this tiny and particular country. The typical Dutch theatre is a roadhouse and changes shows every day, seven days a week. Dutch companies tour with their own lighting and sound equipment, and theatres spend money on computerised fly systems. Laws regarding working hours and working conditions are strict and strictly enforced! For many foreign companies, this is quite different than at home.

TOT helps companies perform in this country by creating the best possible conditions to show work to a Dutch audience: the way the creators intended it to be. This meaning that, to a certain extent, companies have to adapt to Dutch touring culture. At the same time TOT challenges theatres to go the extra mile to make their foreign guests feel welcome.

On the first day of a tour TOT gives the company a helping hand and checks to see that everything is OK. During the tour TOT keeps in touch and informs theatres of the latest news.
